The Construction Professionals Network Star awards are presented annually to projects with CPN members involved that represent the highest quality of quality of construction in North Carolina. There are only three given each year and Chandler Concrete was fortunate to be involved in two of those. Union Square is a new healthcare education facility that was the first collaboration between UNCG, NCA&T, Guilford Tech, and Cone Health. This beautiful facility is located at Gate City Blvd and Lee Street and is the first significant project to help start redevelopment in the southeast portion of downtown Greensboro.
The second Star Award was presented to Chandler Concrete for our participation in the construction of the Leonard J. Kaplan Center for Wellness. This is UNCG’s new Student recreation facility. This impressive facility is very open, with exposed concrete columns throughout the building. To achieve a smooth aesthetically pleasing look, we provided self consolidating for these columns. The result was a consistently smooth surface, top to bottom with no vibration necessary during placement.
Chandler Concrete is proud to have been a part of these two projects and to have been honored by CPN for our efforts.
